Frankly, I think this are the appearance that is very best if OSRS images were upgraded. No fancy 1st person stuff or RS gold HD/Remaster. I believe that this is the perfect appearance that does not stray to far from the classic appearance. Need something like that and no clue why the HD toggle is not avail from 2020. I actually like OSRS how it's now. Yea I think that the choice to choose is the best method to start it, although I really don't have a problem with this, ya know? So you believe the dev time is better spent on this than on material updates or match improvements? And then reducing the number of upgrades that are future due to the OSRS team wanting to create the assets for everything they do?
I find it interesting that folks use this exact same debate like it's any merit when a match earning millions of dollars a year can not just do something or both? Like Jagex hasn't done this earlier? Like is something or it hopeless? I'm confused. It does not need to be just one or another. They're able to do both. They can not do both in precisely the same time as doing just 1. Time spent 'HD' resources is time NOT spent on game updates. They have done it before but it was a MASSIVE undertaking with a bigger team that ended up being very divisive rather than valued by as many players as they had expected. I see no reason why they would be interested in doing this.
Nothing is required to get OSRS, just something to look at, which I think 2008 graphics did just perfectly. The best part is that you had the option. I think the most important counter argument is that it means dev work, because I imagine some or all assets would have to be produced for the two types. Unless it can be done without any major development time I think it may not pass a vote if it were done in a formal capacity. That said, I'd love to be considering 2008 or comparable HD images instead of what we have (improved by Runelite GPU ofc) now even though it meant delayed content releases. However, I understand not everyone will share this comment.
They had done it previously, there are individuals who are currently utilizing it rn, there are programmers who've completed plugins and such. It shouldn't be tough to implement. A toggle choice can deal with the mob not wanting a change of the method of looking. I believe having improved graphics would be helpful to better attract new players. Think in the long-term marketing strategy, do not be restricted to the exact same old thinking of no manpower, no tools, bunch of updates boggled up. Man I remember running home from school because I had been excited by the RuneScape HD update. I'd mainscape OSRS if it had rshd too.
I am sure that 95% of these criers haven't even tried RS3, and don't even understand why, it is free for them whenever they've memb on os, so why don't you try it lol. All ancient EoC and MTX hate and I get that, at start it sucked. But it polished. And mtx sucks yes, should you would like to, but you can dismiss like 90 percent of it. All you really need out of cheap OSRS gold it will be bank boosters and action bars but that is about it. And you can do this without wasting a cent of irl cash, as runecoins can be purchased with bonds. There's a ton to understand with it all so it may be overwhelming but it does reward skill and high focus for certain.
